Hello readers!
Greens Vegetarian Restaurant and Café is a quaint and small place that offers to serve a variety of delicious and tasteful Vegetarian food and beverage suitable for almost everyone even non-vegetarians. Some of the food that they offer are also suitable for Vegans.
I visited this place on my birthday since I wanted to start my day right by eating a healthy yet delicious food. I had their Carbonara and Calamansi juice since I had a cold that day.
Their Carbonara tasted very delicious not only because I generally like eating pasta but because it was actually tasty and creamy. It was great, I throughly enjoyed the Php 80.00 worth of Carbonara with bread at the side.
According to their menu, their
Calamansi juice is
"freshly squeezed". It was served right when I asked for it so I`m not exactly sure if it`s actually
"freshly squeezed" since it was quite cold most likely because it was refrigerated. Nevertheless, even though I usually take in concentrated Calamansi juice, this was alright. Its price is Php 60.00.
My brother had the
Barbeque Wrap and according to their menu, it consists of "barbeque, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cheese, pesto and vegan mayo". I`ve eaten this years ago but I can still remember my astonishment when my mother told me that it was actually vegetarian because it was delicious! I also tasted this again and it really was tasty. It`s Php 120.00 for 2 barbeques and rice.
They actually have many tables and seats to use despite the compacted-looking area. It has an unusual yet sweet look that reminds me of a home. They also have stands where different foods are displayed most probably for sale.
The exterior of the restaurant really reminds me of the structure of an actual house because of the door being in between two traditional-looking windows and the garden you`ll pass before entering the restaurant.

I really like that in a lot of their food, they list what each food consists of so that ingredients-conscious people like me knows what`s in the food I`m eating. It has also been serving customers since 2001 with genuine Vegetarian food which proves their great commitment in providing nutritious yet reasonably-priced Vegetarian selections.
Overall, Greens Vegetarian Restaurant and Café is definitely a great place because of its tasteful yet healthy food and beverage, cozy and serene atmosphere, and near location.

DeleteThere is something really special about having a restaurant with a garden outside for me. I feel like the food is better and that the whole environment is great! The menu looked good! I love a good carbonara so I think I would like that with some of that "freshly squeezed" juice! :)

ReplyDeleteYes, it is a lovely place with affordable and healthy food and drinks. Thank you for reading.
DeleteI love this kind of "healthy choice" places! Oh, the bbq wrap doesn't look at all as vegetarian :) It's nice that you can also buy some ingredients there. What is this Calamanci juice?!! Is it a fruit?
ReplyDeleteCalamansi juice is from the Calamansi citrus fruit. It`s a small circular green fruit. It has many health benefits and uses such as natural deodorant, body cleanser, skin lightener, and many more. I often squeeze the juice out of the Calamansi fruit and drink the juice in the morning. It helps in relieving my Allergic Rhinitis.
DeletePrices for the food are decent; just thinking to compliment with the nice ambience. Great find! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is! Thank you for reading.
DeleteI can't believe that second dish is vegetarian! It looks like a classic beef skewer! Would love to try this place out as it looks yummy :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn`t believe it was vegetarian when I first tasted it too. Thank you for reading!

ReplyDeleteIt`s at the bottom of my post. It`s located at Quezon City, Philippines.
DeleteI see it now. Sorry, I overlooked it the first time!
DeleteIt`s alright.
DeleteThat is a cool cafe. I really like how it looks and has a feel of a regular home. I see that was their goal and it was accomplished. It's great to be able to identify the ingredients easily. Very cozy little spot. Thanks for sharing.

DeleteThank you! The Barbeque Wrap was awesome.
ReplyDeleteOooo this restaurant sounds pretty fab!!!!! Wish I was a tad bit closer so I could try it myself!!! Yum!
ReplyDeleteI have never visited a vegetarian place like that. I live in a small city that does not offer anything like that. I sure wish we did. I am sure it would be one of my favorite places to visit.
ReplyDeleteThis place is impressive.
ReplyDeleteI really dig homes turned into restaurants or restos that have a homey feel. Plus they serve healthy food! That's fantastic.
It's nice that even if what you ate was healthy, it tasted good as well. There aren't a lot of restos in Baguio that serve tasty vegetarian or vegan friendly meals and the ones I've tried aren't exactly as pleasant as the ones you've tasted. I wish in the future we'll have more restaurants here that offer healthy, tasty meals too. :)
ReplyDeleteOoooohhhh I'm not a vegetarian and I love my meat, but this place looks interesting. Healthy living in the metro just got a whole lot better.
ReplyDeleteI like it when a restaurant does not undermine their customers. Five stars for this resto if only for the fact that it lists the ingredients in every dish. I have vegan friends who are particular about, well, the diary content of what they eat. So, kudos to the Greens Resto for being transparent.
ReplyDeleteThe place looks nice! Love the greens in the area. Food looks good as well
